The Quince Orchard girls continued their winning ways with a 4-0 win over Watkins Mill on Thursday at the Cougar Dome. Ele Margelos opened the scoring in the 17th minute when she buried a rebound off Emily D'Italia's blast at goal. The Cougars added to the lead in the 39th minute, when Shannon Dwyer sent a diagonal ball over the right side of Watkins Mill's defense. Morgan Dorset made a run from the midfield to get on the end of the cross and put it away for the 2-0 lead.
The second half started off the way the first half left off, with Yvonne Latour feeding Leah Prentice off the kickoff for the score. After playing the first 65 minutes in goal, Kelsey O'Connor entered the game as a forward, and in the 78th minute, made her way to the back post on a Leah Prentice corner kick to knock in the final tally.
Sophomore goalkeepers Kelsey O'Connor and Gabby Paolini combined for the shutout, the team's fourth of the season and third consecutive.
