Though her two goals and 11 assists last season may not indicate a star in the making, the numbers are misleading for this 2008 All-Met. With nine seniors returning from the Cougars' 4A state finals run a year ago, Clarke will be counted on as a distributor, controlling the middle of the field while her teammates get credit for the offensive fireworks. "She's just such a composed player . . . it creates a good mixture," said Cougars Coach Peg Keiller of her field general, who intends to head to College Park next season and play for Maryland.
